Extension of Small Heath Branch - Compensation to Mrs Neale.

Your Sub-Committee report that negotiations have taken place with Mrs Neale and Miss Neale with a view to the surrender of their lease of 479 Coventry Road, Small Heath, so as to permit of the extension of the Bank premises, the accommodation of which, as the Committee are aware, has now proved to be insufficient to cope with the business transacted.

On payment of this amount vacant possession of the premises will be given and the Bank enabled to carry out their extension scheme.

Your Sub-Committee recommend that the action taken in the matter be confirmed and the Town Clerk authorised to enter into any necessary document.

Mr McMichael (Architect) who carried out the original alterations has been instructed to consider the further extension and to submit his proposals as early as possible, so that tenders can be obtained for the carrying out of the work. A further report on the matter will be presented to your Committee in due course.
