Finance Sub-Committee: April 24th 1933

Premises at Stechford.

Your Sub-Committee report that the shop and flat attached to the Stechford Branch, which premises had been let to Messrs Motor Replacements Limited on a three years' tenancy expiring in June 1934, have been vacated, the firm in question ceasing business in this town.

The firm made an offer of £25 on the understanding that they were released from the existing portion of the lease and explained that the business had a debenture charge upon it.

Your Sub-Committee ordered private enquiries to be made into the matter, and as a result it was decided to accept the offer subject to the requirements of the lease having been complied with.

Mr Frank Wilde, the Bank's Agent, was instructed to look into the matter with the firm's representative, and in consequence thereof the firm agreed to pay an additional £10 for repairs and decorations which would be necessary before the premises could be again let.

The cheques in question have been received, and it is recommended that the lease with Motor Replacements Limited be determined.
