Roof at Spring Hill Premises.
Your Sub-Committee after considering a full report from
Mr Frank Wilde, have authorised repairs to be carried out to the roof at the above-mentioned premises at an estimated cost of £80,
of which amount, Mr Camkin, the Lessee, has agreed to contribute £15.

The General Manager reported that notice had been received from the tenant of No 40 Spring Hill of his intention to quit the premises intimating that the sub-tenant, Mr Dean, desired to take over the tenancy. In view of the fact that the change of tenancy would result in the property becoming decontrolled under the Rent Restriction Acts, and as the existing rental was not an economic letting value, Mr Wilde recommended that the new rental be fixed at £45 per annum, the tenant to pay rates and to be responsible for repairs. It was:
5130 RESOLVED:- That the recommendation of Mr Wilde be adopted and the General Manager authorised to take steps accordingly.

Tenancy of No 40, Spring Hill.
Your Sub-Committee report that arrangements have now been made
for the letting of these premises to Mr S Dean (who has been a sub-tenant for some years) for a period of three years at a rental
of £45 per annum, the tenant paying rates and to be responsible for interior repairs. They recommend that the Town Clerk be instructed
to prepare any necessary documents, affixing the Corporate Seal thereto if necessary.

I have to report that I have completed an Agreement for Tenancy of the above premises to Mr S Dean, for three years from the 29th September 1934, at a rent of £45 per annum.
