General Purposes Sub-Committee: October 12th 1931

 

The General Manager reported that in connection with the proposed building development in Islington Row, an offer had been received from a Syndicate to provide accommodation for the Bank in the third position from the corner of Calthorpe Road at a rental of £200 per annum plus rates and the cost of internal repairs; or alternatively to provide a vacant site to enable the Bank Committee to erect a bank themselves. The Syndicate having pressed for an early decision, the Chairman of the General Committee had given the offer his consideration but had decided against negotiations being entered into.

 

1714  RESOLVED:- That the action taken in the matter be confirmed.
