This branch, in the area between Cotteridge and Northfield, was opened as a part-time office in
1966 - in conjunction with another
part-time branch at
Bartley Green.
West Heath's initial opening arrangements were:
- Tuesday ...... 10:00 to 15:00
- Thursday ..... 10:00 to 15:00
- Saturday ..... 10:00 to 11:30
Norman Monk was appointed the Manager of both West
Heath and Bartley Green, alternating his attendance between the two offices from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, when both branches
were open, a Relief Branch Manager (Terry Cox) was in charge at West Heath. Terry also managed Newtown Row branch, which was open
on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays - spending his Thursdays and Fridays at City branch.
In the following year, Friday
hours were added in the evening - 17:00 to 19:00
From July 1st 1969, when Saturday opening ceased in the banking industry generally,
the
following hours of business applied:

- Thursday .... 10:00 to 15:00 and
16:00 to 19:00
- Friday ......... 10:00 to 17:00
